Dolores Peralta-Baca retired earlier this month as the caseload manager specialist for West Las Vegas Head Start.

Peralta-Baca for 25 years worked for Head Start, a federal program that prepares children under 5 from low-income families for school.

Maria Martinez, human resource specialist, said the position will be filled; it has not yet been advertised.

In other matters, the Head Start recently hired co-teachers Eloisa Muniz and Uloma Nelson

The West Las Vegas Head Start is accepting applications for 3- to 5-year-olds. Parents need to show income verification, a birth certificate, proof of insurance, immunization records, proof of a physical exam over the last 12 months and proof of a dental exam.

To sign up, visit the Head Start at 1107 Montezuma St., Las Vegas, or call ERSEA specialist Annette Maestas, 505-426-2824, or Martinez, 505-426-2830.

The Early Head Start is full.
