Helen Marie Zamora

Helen Marie Zamora, 79, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on March 2, 1942 in Sena, N.M. to Gabino Lovato and Carolina Martinez. 

She was a Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, N.M. 

Helen sold Chile, Wood Working, Mechanics, and Crocheting and was a very good Cook. She enjoyed singing and dancing. Helen also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gabino and Carolina Lovato. 

She is survived by her life partner Maria Valencia; sons and daughters, Martin Zamora both of Las Vegas, N.M., and Ruben Lucero (Sonny) of Portland, Ore., Diana Lucero of Las Vegas, N.M., Gloria Leyba (Sandra) of Santa Fe, N.M., Julia Lucero, Crystal Lucero, Diana Apodaca (Carlos) all of Las Vegas, N.M., Donny Valencia of Albuquerque, N.M., Jasmine Valencia (Marty), Anna Valencia, and Gerald Lucero (Jessica) all of Las Vegas, N.M.; brothers and sister,  Moises Lovato (Angie) of Albuquerque, N.M., Estevan Lovato of Las Vegas, N.M., Gabino Lovato of Wagon Mound, N.M., Martha Montano (Floyd) of Utah, and Paul Lovato of Las Vegas, N.M.; numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. 

Rosary service will be held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Rogers Mortuary Chapel in Las Vegas, N.M. 

Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021 at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, N.M. with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. 

Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Las Vegas, N.M.
