Gonzalo Martinez, 64, passed Monday, July, 18, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Santa Fe, N.M. from natural causes.  

Gonzalo was born on Dec. 10, 1957 to Dionicio Martinez and Priscilla Chavez. 

He is survived by Lisabeth P. Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M.; his mother Priscilla Martinez of Wagon Mound, N.M.; his brother Anthony Martinez of Wagon Mound, N.M.; his sister Ernestina Valdez of Las Vegas, N.M.; his sister in law Susie Ferrin (Jamie) of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; brother in law Greg Pate (Donna) of Carlsbad, N.M.; nephews, Manuel Valdez Jr. of Las Vegas, N.M., David Valdez (Linda) of Las Vegas, N.M., Juan Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M., Jeff Crane of Durant, Okla., Matthew Crane of Spokane, Wash., Aaron Pate of Portland, Ore., Tyler Pate of Carlsbad, N.M., Gerrod Pate of Ft. Worth, Tex., Shawn Ferrin, Steve Ferrin, both of Mossyhead, Fla.; his nieces, Mendi Eymard (Anthony) of Destin, Fla., Sophia Martinez (Robert) of Wagon Mound, N.M., Briitany Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M.; his granddaughters, Desire Martinez, Samantha Martinez both of Tucumcari, N.M.; he had four great-grandchildren. Special extended family are Denise and Rob Read. 

Gonzalo was a life-long mechanic favoring older cars. In his later years he also became a skilled glasser working with glass in Colorado. Gonzalo was a #1 Las Vegas Raiders Fan! Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 at 1 p.m.  

Internment will take place at a later date.
