David Baca

David Baca, 52, of Albuquerque N.M., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021

David was born in Las Vegas N.M., to Azulema Mendez.

In David’s early years he was best known as Bad-Boy Davey B because you could almost always catch him behind the mic at KSSR radio in Santa Rosa N.M. He always had a passion for music; whether he was listening to it, sharing new artists, or making music with his band Group Illusion. If he wasn’t behind the mic you could always find him on the couch watching his Broncos play in hopes of earning bragging rights.

One of David’s greatest accomplishment was his family. He was the type of man to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders and would move mountains for anyone he considered a friend.

He had a loving wife, a caring sister and three beautiful girls. He was fortunate enough to know the love of grandchildren as he had five of them. He was also blessed with the opportunity of being a god father to many. He was the bridge that connected multiple generations and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife Melanie; sister Elia; daughters, Alexandra, Matiana, Maliyah; and grandchildren, Yaquilin, Lex, Lee-Andra, Morik, Marloc

He is predeceased by his mother Azulema (Baca) Mendez; father Diojenes Mendez; grandparents, Fernando and Emilia Baca; and many other beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at a later date due to the immediate family continuing to quarantine.

Arrangements are entrusted to and under the care of Rogers Mortuary, 600 Reynolds Ave., Las Vegas, N.M. 87701, 505-425-3511 or 1-800-479-3511.
