Las Vegas Arts Council is raising money to bring Missoula Children’s Theatre back to town.

Since 1985, local families have participated in MCT, which is coordinated by arts council volunteers. Performances are held at Ilfeld Auditorium at New Mexico Highlands University.

Youth get to audition, rehearse, sing and dance in this historic world-class theater.

MCT provides scripts, costumes, scores, makeup and direction, and the community provides the actors, venue, pianist, promotion and funding, which requires thousands of dollars.

Donations can be made by calling the arts council at 505-425-1085, mailing a check to Las Vegas Arts Council, P.O. Box 2603, Las Vegas, NM, 87701, or dropping by 140 Bridge St. between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Donors should specify MCT so the money can be restricted for Missoula Children’s Theatre.
