    Thomas B. Burrows passed away peacefully, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at The Life Care Center in Farmington, N.M. He and his loving wife of 74 years, the former Mary Louise Pittman, moved to Farmington in April of this year from their home of 46 years on the beautiful Rio de la Casa in Mora County, N.M.

  • Mary E. Flynt

    Mary E. Flynt, born Maria Praxedis Evangelista Segura to Eusebio and Flora Chavez-Segura on Nov. 24, 1926, in Old Las Vegas, N.M., died Mary E. Flynt. She married Jim F. Flynt in Nov. 1947. They had six natural children and one adopted.

    As a family, she and Dad made Albuquerque their home in 1950.

    Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim; her son Jim D.; her precious, DeeDee; her parents, Eusebio and Flora Segura; sister, Dolores; and brother, Martin Segura.

  • Joe I Martinez

    A rosary for Joe I. Martinez, 83, a life long resident of Watrous, N.M. and who passed away in Santa Fe on Monday, will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. all from the Sacred Heart Church in Watrous, N.M.. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Watrous, N.M. with the following grandsons serving as casket bearers: Shawn Martinez, Steven Martinez, Shane Martinez, Julian Archuleta, Rico Lopez, and Jason Gentry.

  • Lula Espinoza Ludi

    Lula Espinoza Ludi, 89, of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, after a short illness. She was born in Ortiz, Colo.in 1918 to the late Celestino and Rosalia Espinoza.

    She was married to the late Eloy E. Ludi for 60 years. She was preceded in death by brothers, Celestino Espinoza Jr. and Reginaldo Espinoza, as well as sisters, Ruth Fuentes, Lorraine Nelson and Elsie Myers.

  • Mary Gloria Martinez

    Mary Gloria Martinez, also known as "G.G.", went home with our Lord on Sunday Nov. 4, 2007 at the age of 50. She passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, N.M. .

    Born on December 13, 1956 in Springer, N.M. to Dionicio and Priscilla Martinez, she was a resident of Las Vegas, N.M. and former resident of Wagon Mound, N.M. . She is preceded in death by her father, Dionicio Martinez; maternal grandparents, Celina and Juan Chavez and paternal grandparents Gonzalo and Aurelia Martinez; mother-in-law Josefina R. Martinez, nephew Mario Martinez and other relatives.

    Dr. John M. Black, Jr, age 74, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M. for the past 10 years and former resident of Jamestown, North Dakota passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at the Alta Vista Hospital following an extended illness.

    He was born on February 26, 1933 in Seattle, Wash. to the late John M. Black, Sr. and Una Elizabeth Shannon Black.

    He was united in marriage on June 27, 1979 in Ft. Collins, Colo. to Mary Elizabeth Griffith Jr.

    Joe I. Martinez, 83, a lifelong resident and rancher of Watrous, N.M. , passed away in Santa Fe on Monday following a sudden illness. He had been living in Santa Fe at the home of his daughter, Elizabeth Gentry. He was preceded in death by his wife Estella; his parents, Marcelino and Marianita Conway Martinez; a son, Dennis Martinez; a brother, James Martinez; and three sisters, Guadalupita Paiz, Charlotte Lucero, and Mary Baker.

    Diane K. Campa age 45 of Clovis, N.M., died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
