    Alfred “Al” Raymond Walck died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, in Albuquerque.

    Al was born in Ojo Feliz, N.M., on Sept. 13, 1949, to John E., II and Mary (Vigil) Walck.

  • Johnny Dale Parker

    Johnny Dale Parker, 63, a resident of Las Vegas passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas.

    He was born on Nov. 12, 1948 in Buckeye, Ariz. to Johnny Franklin Parker and Wilma Jackson.

    He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnny Franklin Parker and Wilma Jackson-Parker.

  • Eufemia Sandoval

    Eufemia Sandoval died on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at home surrounded by her family listening to northern New Mexico corridos.  

    She was born on the first day of Spring, March 20, 1924 (our Spring chicken) in La Cañada Ancha, N.M.  She married Elauterio Sandoval on July 7, 1947 in Wagon Mound, N.M.

    A Memorial Service for Donald Plotner will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Artesia, N.M., with Pastor Rick Sullivan officiating.

    Donald Plotner, 70, of Roswell passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012,  at his residence.

  • Juan Jose Brizal

    Juan Jose Brizal, 80, a longtime resident of Buena Vista, N.M., passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at his residence.

    He was born on March 27, 1931, in La Cueva, N.M, to the late Emilio Brizal Sr. and Maria Sofia Valdez.

    He retired after 17 years as a State Park Ranger. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

  • Kim Allen Kirkpatrick

    On Jan. 12, 2012, Kim Allen Kirkpatrick, 74, passed away after a brief illness. A heart attack claimed the life of a man who gave freely from his heart to all. No task was too big or too small if it meant being of help to others.

  • Valentin Pino

    Valentin Pino, 74, a longtime resident of Las Vegas passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at Vida Encantada Nursing Home.

    He was born on October 21, 1937, in La Lagunita, N.M., to Seferino Pino and Dolores Sandoval Pino.

    He was the owner of Pino’s Chevron and was an avid collector of Classic Ford cars which he restored for each of his daughters. He was the owner operator of Lazy J Trailer Park. He enjoyed spending time with friends and going to the casino. After retiring, he began babysitting for his grandchildren that he loved so much.

  • Victoria D. “Vicky” Gonzales

    Victoria D. “Vicky” Gonzales, 80, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away in the arms of her loving family on Thursday.

    She was preceded in death by her parents: Emilio and Georgia Stone Martinez; brothers, Abe and Celestino Martinez, and a sister, Katherine Gallegos.

  • Manuel A. Olivas

    Manuel A. Olivas, 53, a lifetime resident of Holman, N.M. died on Feb. 3, 2012, at Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas.

    He was born on Aug. 2, 1958, in Las Vegas to the late Jose Manuel Olivas and Juanita Frances Medina.

    He was a firefighter with the New Mexico Forestry for 35 years.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew: Andrew Manuel Cruz.

    Valentin Pino, 74, a resident of Las Vegas passed away on Sunday Feb. 5, 2012 at Vida Encantada.
