    Max Anthony (Tony) Chacon passed away at Alta Vista Hospital on Jan. 27, 2008, following a sudden illness.

  • Mildred M. Maloof

    Mildred M. Maloof, 92, a retired elementary school teacher and resident of Las Vegas, N.M. passed away on Sunday evening at the Casa Real Nursing Center in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred R. and Willie Carter Meador; two brothers, Fred and Gilbert Meador; and three sisters, Billie and Dollie Meador, and Zella Hill.

  • Maria Orcelia Martinez

    Maria Orcelia Martinez, 86, a resident of El Alto, N.M., and for the past six years, Arroyo Seco, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in Espaola, N.M., after an extended illness.

    She was born in Chupaderos, N.M., on May 13, 1921, to the late Andres Martinez and Amalia Martinez.

    A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, N.M.

  • David V. Vigil

    A funeral mass for David V. Vigil was celebrated this morning by Rev. C. John Brasher at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment followed the mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jesus Martinez, Eddie Quintana, Kevin Miller, Abe Garcia, Anthony Urioste and Paul Urioste.

    David, age 84, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Saturday Jan. 26, 2008, at Alta Vista Regional Hospital.

  • Elia Dorothy L'Esperance

    On Jan. 28, 2008, Elia Dorothy L’Esperance went home to our Lord.

    She was born in the small rural village of Chacon, N.M., to Lucio and Bersabe Garcia, who predeceased her. She is also predeceased by her husband, Oliver L’Esperance and her siblings, Ofene Garcia, Jessie Garcia, Gertrude Ortega, Predy Aragon and Celina Ortiz.

  • Eugene L. Rudolph, Sr.

    Our beloved dad and grandpa, Gene, passed away peacefully Monday morning with his son, Gene, Jr. close at his side. He was born on Feb. 1, 1938, in Rociada, N.M. to the late Lawrence and Erminia Rudolph.

    He married the love of his life, Mary Clara, on Aug.29, 1959. He resided in Las Vegas, N.M. where he worked in the banking industry for many years.

    Marilyn Vigil, age 44, a resident of Gonzales Ranch and native of Ojo Feliz, N.M., passed away at her home on Jan. 24, 2008.

    She was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Feb. 15, 1963, to the late Roberto Vigil and Maria P. Bustos Vigil.

    Marilyn is preceded in death by her daughter Vanessa; parents Roberto and Maria Vigil; brothers: Rudy, Mike, Jay and Barney Vigil; sister Ruby Vigil; nephews Lloyd and Robert Vigil.

  • Mary Moya Maestas

    Mary Moya Maestas, age 92, a native of Chacon, N.M. and current resident of Las Vegas, N.M. passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Vida Encantada Nursing Home.

    She was born on Aug. 5, 1915, to the late Cecilia Moya. She is preceded in death by her mother Cecilia; daughter Velma Garcia; first husband Celestino Garcia; second husband Moises Maestas and brothers Pete and Alfred Moya.
