    Richard David Ortiz, 24, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at his home.

    He was born Dec. 13, 1983, in Las Vegas, N.M. Richard was a student at Pellissippi State College and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, going to movies and playing video games and was affectionately known as the “Game Master.”

    Our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family on Feb. 1, 2008. Viola was born in April 8, 1921, in San Antonio, N.M., to Juan and Andreita Gallegos.

    Immediately after finishing high school Viola began her teaching career in San Miguel County. Viola along with other teachers would travel to outlaying areas and would walk from the main highway to a one-room schoolhouse.

    Henrietta Delgado, Santa Fe Resident, passed away Jan. 26, 2008.

    Born May 19, 1920, in Las Vegas, N.M. to Juan and Mariquita Salazar. Married Manuel Carlos Delgado in May 1947.

    Our beloved mother, was a devoted wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, reading, birdwatching and visiting with family and friends.

  • Maria Orcelia Martinez

    Maria Orcelia Martinez, age 86, a resident of El Alto, N.M., and for the past six years, Arroyo Seco, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 in Espaola, N.M. after an extended illness.

    She was born in Chupaderos, N.M., on May 13, 1921 to the late Andres Martinez and Amalia Martinez.

    A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, N.M.

  • Mildred M. Maloof

    The Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred M. Maloof, 92, a resident of Las Vegas, was celebrated this morning at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Father C. John Brasher celebrated the Mass. The interment followed in the Maloof family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. She passed away on Sunday evening at Casa Real Nursing Center in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred R. and Willie Carter Meador; two brothers, Fred and Gilbert Meador; and three sisters, Billie and Dollie Meador, and Zella Hill.

  • Eugene L. Rudolph Sr.

    A funeral mass for Gene Rudolph was celebrated this morning by Rev. George Salazar at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment followed the mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

    Serving as pallbearers were Joseph Vigil, Jonathan Vigil, Joshua Vigil, Andrew Rudolph, Gene Rudolph Jr. and Herman Silva.

    Gene, age 69, passed away on Monday Jan. 28, 2008 in Albuquerque.

  • Eugene L. Rudolph, Sr.

    Our beloved dad and grandpa, Gene, passed away peacefully Monday morning with his son, Gene, Jr. close at his side. He was born on Feb.1, 1938 in Rociada, N.M. to the late Lawrence and Erminia Rudolph. He married the love of his life, Mary Clara, on Aug. 29, 1959. He resided in Las Vegas, N.M. where he worked in the banking industry for many years. In the mid-1970’s he opened and operated a hospitality business with his father and brother until the death of his wife in 1993. Gene then ventured into real estate and insurance and eventually moved to Albuquerque.
