Right on track: Coca, Montoya, Aparicio-Blythe win multiple events

-A A +A
By Dave Kavanaugh

Angelica Montoya triumphed in two throwing events, Tonati Aparicio-Blythe crossed the finish line first in the 800 and won the triple jump, and Pecos boys’ runners led by Isaiah Armijo monopolized the top five in the 2-mile to highlight this past weekend’s Rattler Relays in Tucumcari.

Other individual winners among area athletes included Robertson’s Savannah Sena in the 400, Mora’s Dalton Breault in the mile, and medley relay teams — both boys and girls — from Pecos. Sena placed among the top three girls in all three short-distance races.
