St. Paul’s Peace Church, Eighth and National, is having a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

1 p.m.
St. Vrain Foundation annual meeting will take place at 1 p.m. followed by a short reading by author Gloria Zamora at 1:40 p.m. Also making an appearance is local author Malcolm Ebright. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call 575-387-5161.

1 p.m.
The local firecracker pageant will take place in the West Las Vegas High School Cafeteria. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.

1 p.m.
Pecos National Historical Park will offer a free ranger-led tour of the seldom-seen Arrowhead Pueblo. This one-mile round trip visit to the 14th century pueblo will explore the historical, archaeological, and cultural significance of this 100-plus room ruin. Visitors interested in the tour are advised to reserve a spot, as space is limited. Attendees will meet at the Visitor Center at 1 p.m. and caravan to the trailhead with the ranger. June 24 and June 25
Flint Knapping demonstrations will take place at Pecos National Historical Park. Ron Fields will demonstrate the techniques involved in manufacturing stone tools and the use of these tools in manufacturing Phragmites compound arrows. Drop by the park visitor center between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. this weekend to learn more about this tradition. For more information, call 505-757-7241.

Women military veterans, Guard/Reserve, transitioning active-duty service members are invited to a free Military/Veteran Women’s Expo 2017 in Las Vegas from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Plaza Hotel, 230 Plaza St. The Expo is limited to the first 40 pre-registered women.
