Need a place to “chill”, to sit quietly for an hour with no interruptions, to meditate or to pray? First United Presbyterian Church, located at 1000 Douglas Ave., has opened its doors for some quiet time during the lunch hour.

116th Christmas Bird Count will take place in the Las Vegas area. This year’s event is sponsored by the National Audubon Society and is organized locally at the Hermit’s Peak Watershed Alliance.
