The City of Las Vegas Recreation Center, in participation with the City of Las Vegas Museum, will be hosting a guest lecture at 6 p.m. at the Abe Montoya Rec Center. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish will be discussing conservation education and wildlife preservation.  All City Museum events are free to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. Thursday-Friday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1

The Las Vegas Lions Club’s annual Holiday Pecan Sale is under way to raise funds for low income citizens of San Miguel and Mora Counties needing eye exams and eyeglasses. Pecan logs and a wide variety of gift bagged pecans and cashews may be purchased Nov. 30 at the State Employees Credit Union on Mllls Avenue and Friday, Dec. 1 at Southwest Capital Bank on Douglas Avenue.

The 16th annual Holiday Homes Tour is a fundraiser for the Las Vegas Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation. Activities get under way at 4:30 p.m, at the organization’s office, 116 Bridge St., Las Vegas. Scheduled are light refreshments and music by Leroy Lucero. Tickets are $15 tickets can be bought online or on site. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., participants can either venture out to the homes themselves or attend the guided tours.
