Prep Baseball: Dons lose first game of season

The West Las Vegas Dons fell to the Kirtland Central , 12–4, in Saturday’s season opener. The second game of the day was rained out.

Sophomore Omar Gallardo led the Dons with four up to bats, two runs and one hit on the day. Senior Jaeden Perea and freshman Josh Gonzales also had one run each for West.

Each team scored one run in the first and going into the third the score was still tied when the Broncos began to pull away. A few errors allowed the Broncos to score four runs in the inning, to be up 5–1.
