Albuquerque ends skid

By Dave Kavanaugh

Held to just seven hits Wednesday night in their return to The Lab, the Albuquerque Isotopes nevertheless proved efficient in a 5-3 win over visiting Nashville.
The victory snapped a losing skid that had reached eight, including a crippling five-game road letdown at division-leading Oklahoma City.
Albuquerque starting pitcher Matt Magill (5-1) was a major reason why the home team won. He struck out nine batters and scattered eight hits and one walk over six innings, although he did allow three earned runs.
