Mike Salazar caught Jose Juan Montaño’s potential game-tying or game-winning shot to shallow center field on Saturday afternoon, sealing an exciting 8-7 win for Robertson over West Las Vegas at the WLV diamond.

Eric Maupin led the Cowboys offensively in game one, going 3 of 5 with a double;. Clay Mohr was 2 for 3 with a triple and one run batted in.

In game two of the series, NMHU’s Kyle Davis hit a solo home run that would hold as the team’s lone extra-base hit.

Twenty-five years later, Pitino is heading back after another unbelievable run — one capped with an amazing late-game rally that left his old protege wondering what the heck happened.

Freshman forward Chane Behanan made the go-ahead basket with 1:06 left Saturday and Pitino’s fourth-seeded Louisville Cardinals outscored Florida by 15 points over the final 10 minutes for a 72-68 victory in the West Regional final.
