  • Missoula Children’s Theatre made its annual return to Las Vegas recently and once again thrilled audiences with their production. This year’s show, “Aladdin,” included dozens of local performers ranging in ages. After rehearsing for a handful of days, the group hit the stage on Saturday, July 14, in Ilfeld Auditorium in front of a packed house of proud family members.

    The children performed under the direction of Ryan Pierce and Julia Bourland. The theatre group has been traveling every summer to Las Vegas for more than 20 years.

    Our Lady of Sorrows Church will be the site of a special concert scheduled at 6 p.m. on Friday, as present-day musicians strive to help preserve one of the community’s historic musical treasurers. The fundraiser (for restoration of the 1885 Kilgen pipe organ at Our Lady of Sorrows Church) will draw on the talents of University of New Mexico Chamber Singers and Orchestra for a special performance with James Yeager serving as organist, and Kristin Ditlow directing.
