Ruben Cordova is once again heading into retirement.
The Las Vegas City Schools superintendent submitted his resignation letter to the board on Thursday evening. The resignation will become effective on April 30.
Because the resignation wasn’t listed on the meeting agenda, the board was unable to officially accept it on Thursday. The board will likely vote to accept the resignation during an upcoming meeting.
“I think it is time for me to move on,” Cordova told the Optic on Friday morning.
