My family, my friends, all my relatives are disgusted and boiling mad with Gov. Bill Richardson.
It’s hard to believe how he has ruined our state and Democratic Party. What gall and shamelessness the man has. (Que sin vergueza.)
We come from a lifelong line of Democrats. We returned to New Mexico about two years ago and it’s so sad to see what he has done. The man thinks that people are stupid. Let’s look at a sampling of what he has done.
He sent us Manny Aragon to run Highlands University. Aragon is now in prison.

I went to the United World College on Oct. 17 to attend a theater event called The Gaza Monologues. These are stories written by Palestinian children.
As a Jewish woman, I wasn’t sure how I would react. Much to my surprise, I found myself in tears.
The Nat Gold Players, the students from Highlands University and students from UWC were excellent in their performances.
The extraordinary writings of those children living in a war zone, watching relatives die, bombs all around them, not having food and/or shelter, made me weep.

I am writing in response to several of the San Miguel County commissioners’ comments in regard to the low-fly proposal as reported in the Optic on Nov. 12.  The fact the commission chose to vote in favor of the proposal is fine.  

That decision is supported by many county residents. However, it was not necessary in so many words to question the patriotism of those who disagree with you. Patriotism takes many forms. Nor is it necessary to mock those who offer opposing arguments.

I received my property tax bill and, knowing there was an “error” made by East that would affect the bill, was still appalled at a 40 percent hike. This is an unconscionable assault on innocent citizens, especially those on low or fixed incomes, who must budget all year to pay their property taxes and who cannot have prepared for such a usurious increase.
