Tripp to leave WLV post

For a second time, Richard Tripp is retiring from West Las Vegas.

Tripp, whose first go-round working for his alma mater included 29 years teaching English and history in addition to coaching basketball, baseball and football, said he is leaving his athletic coordinator post as of July 1. He had been serving in that capacity since 2014, lured out of retirement after a brief stint at Atrisco Heritage.
