East, Pecos districts improve grades

Only six of 89 school districts in New Mexico earned an A on performance evaluations by the state, but more districts saw improving grades than declining ones, according to a report released Tuesday by the Public Education Department.
Most grades issued by the state to school districts have remained the same over the past two school years, the report states.

Las Vegas City Schools and Pecos Independent Schools saw their district grades increase one letter to C. The previous year both districts received D grades.
