This past weekend, the New Mexico Highlands University rodeo teams made their way to the Mexican border to compete in the above 90-degree weather at the annual Cochise College rodeo, held in Douglas, Ariz.
The second rodeo of the season, Cochise treated NMHU rodeo teams very well. Three championship buckles were brought back to Las Vegas, just as the weekend before at the Mesalands Community College rodeo. With the season beginning to take shape, many of the standings have NMHU at the top.
The most prestigious award in rodeo may just be the all-around title.
