SANTA FE — A state legislator said Monday he plans a lawsuit challenging the candidacy of a longtime Democratic state senator, who’s among a dozen candidates facing questions over the validity of their filings to get on the June primary ballot.
Secretary of State Dianna Duran said she will place the candidates, including seven legislators, on the ballot based on the advice of the Attorney General’s Office. However, it appears likely that the courts will end up resolving the election year dispute.
