Pancho Caro’s masterful pitching performance Tuesday against Taos was not only stingy, it was efficient.
The West Las Vegas junior held the visiting Tigers to one hit, no runs and no walks — a near-perfect effort in a 6-0 win — and through seven complete innings his pitch count only hit 73.
“Pancho controlled them,” said West coach Dean Gallegos. “He did a good job; he hit spots and threw the off-speed and breaking pitches.”
As well as Caro pitched, he did have ample help.
