  • Power outage caused by pole fire

    An electrical pole fire caused 2,134 Las Vegas customers to be without power for several hours on Saturday night.

    Valerie Smith, a spokesperson with Public Service Company of New Mexico, said lightning caused the pole fire, leading the the outage that started around 9 p.m. The pole was on South Grand Avenue near Alamo.
