A 30-acre blaze in the Mineral Hill area was 70 percent contained as of Saturday night with fire crews mopping up what was left of the fire on Sunday, according to State Forestry.
The blaze sent black plumes of smoke billowing into the air.
The 283 Fire, as it has been dubbed, was reported to be human-caused, sparked by hot ashes.
“There were no evacuations of the threatened structures,” State Forestry said in a news release. “Buildings were summer cabins with no current occupancy.”
