  • Nuestra Historia - Three who made statehood happen

  • Community Water Report - Protecting our water future - Part 2

Again, water supply is certainly the primary obstacle to Las Vegas’ economic health and growth.

VADITO, N.M. — Masters of Duct Tape, rejoice: the Ninth Annual Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort Cardboard Derby returns to Sipapu this coming Saturday.

Sipapu’s Cardboard Derby is the resort’s most popular event and New Mexico’s only cardboard derby. Participants construct vessels using cardboard, duct tape, string, twine and paint only and race them down the mountain as they aim for a bull’s eye in the base area. Points are awarded based on how close the derbies hit the target.

Luke Aragon and many of his Robertson baseball teammates had plenty of time to consider how the Sandia Prep Sundevils ended their deep postseason run last May.

“He said, ‘I want the ball,’” Renon recalled. And Renon complied, letting a revenge-minded Aragon have the pitching start.

It didn’t turn out too badly for the Redbirds.
