The desire to call special attention to the medical superintendent in this report that the name of the asylum be changed to the New Mexico State Hospital. The report was submitted by board members Messrs Jefferson Raynolds, David C. Winters, O.L. Gregory, Charles C. Robbins and William E. Gardner.

    ALBUQUERQUE — A second suspect has been fatally shot by Albuquerque police in three days, sparking renewed calls by activists for a federal probe.

    Authorities say an Albuquerque officer shot and killed a man Wednesday near Laguna Pueblo after a chase that began when the motorist shot at two women in Albuquerque.

    THUMBS UP! BACK TO MAKING FILMS. After a revamping of the city’s film ordinance, which regulates what filmmakers can and can’t do in Las Vegas, crews are back in town. Over the past few days crews have been busy transforming Bridge Street façades for a CBS pilot about Ralph Lamb, a larger-than-life Las Vegas, Nev., sheriff from the 1960s and ‘70s. Shooting is planned for April 3-4 and, meanwhile, some good old-fashion money is being spent here in the original Vegas.
