  • Just a Thought - You choose your influences

    By Rick Kraft

Who in this world influences your life? We all are influenced by others. We don’t live our lives in a vacuum. We are not each born on a remote island with no one around. We don’t live our lives with an abundance of food, clothing, and shelter automatically provided without our ever having to lift a finger.

  • West teams rock Pojoaque

For years, Pojoaque Valley has been a perennial thorn in the side for West Las Vegas’ basketball teams.

So even if this is a decided down year for the Elks and Elkettes, it feels good to those in green and gold to be able to dominate their rivals from Jacona.

The Dons did so on Friday, pummeling Pojoaque 72-43 in a game that got out of hand early.

Then the Lady Dons followed suit on Saturday night, overtaking the Elkettes late in the first quarter and then remaining in front for a 43-35 verdict.
