IRWINDALE, Calif. — Ready Pac Foods has recalled more than 5,000 cases of bagged salad because of a possible E. coli contamination.
The Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday that the bagged romaine lettuce and salad mixes were distributed to 15 Western states, including New Mexico.
The recall was issued by the Irwindale, Calif. company after a random government test showed contamination.
The bagged salads have a sell-by date of Nov. 18.
