If you’ve been around town over the last few weeks, chances are you’ve seen crews in neon vests and hardhats pulling weeds, picking up trash or even painting over graffiti.
They’re among the 242 employees hired by the city of Las Vegas for its annual summer work program. The city is investing $464,000 in the program this year.
Program participants — mostly local teens — are working in every city department except transportation.
