  • Patsy Trujillo

    Patsy Trujillo, 46, passed away tragically earlier this year in Mora County.
    She was born on July 30, 1965, to Amos and Alice Trujillo in Denver, Colo., who preceded her in death.
    She was also preceded in death by her grandparents: Delfiño and Dora Torres.
    Patsy was an artist who enjoyed drawing. She was an outgoing, smart and kind woman that always lent a helping hand to everyone.

  • Juan Andy Espinoza

    Juan Andy Espinoza, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, N.M., passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011. He died peacefully at home after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family.

    He was born in Mora on April 19, 1941.

    He is preceded in death by his wife: Deluvina Apodaca, his mom: Marcelina Espinoza, and sister: Margie Vigil.

  • Julio B. Griego

    Julio B. Griego, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on July 31, 2011.  
    He is preceded in death by his parents:  Jose and Rufina Griego, a daughter and his brothers.

    He is survived by his wife: Rebecca; his daughter: Debi; his granddaughter: Alexandra Griego and two grandsons: Isaac Santa Cruz and Michael-Anthony “Birdie” Soto.

  • Maria Dolores Juarez

    Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away at home on July 24, 2011, at the age of 72 following a sudden illness.

     Dolores was born in Las Vegas as the third of eight children born to Jacobo and Ramona Encinias and former wife of John F. Juarez Sr. all of Las Vegas.

  • Denley Norman

    Denley Norman, 44, passed away in Lusk, Wyo., on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, from injuries sustained in a ranching accident.  

    Funeral services were held Sat., July 30, 2011 in Lusk, Wyo. with interment in the Lusk Cemetery.

    Denley Clay Norman was born the second of four children to Chester and Claudette Norman of Las Vegas in 1966. He attended school in Tucumcari, N.M. until high school, where he finished in Las Vegas.

  • Jose Rafael Quintana, Jr.

    Jose Rafael Quintana, Jr., 78, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011, in Albuquerque, N.M. after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

    He was preceded in death by his parents: Jose Rafael Quintana Sr. and Clorinda Ledoux Quintana; a sister: Juanita; brothers: Fred and wife, Teresa, and Sam and wife, Beatrice; and an uncle: Demetrio.

  • Daisy Rice

    Daisy Rice, 85, of Las Vegas, died Saturday, July 30.
    She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Q. Rice, parents: John and Gertrude Neal, brothers: John, James, and Harold Neal, and sister: Vesta Hughes.

  • Heliodoro (Lee) Trujillo

    Heliodoro (Lee) Trujillo, long-time resident of Rainsville, N.M., went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2011 at the age of 72. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother lost his battle to cancer.  
    He was born on July 2, 1939, in Tinaja, N.M. to Joe Felix and Ferminia Trujillo.  

    He retired from the UFCW Local 770 Hub Market in N.Hollywood, Calif. and later worked at Allsups in Mora for 12 years.  

  • Mary Elizabeth Griffith Doolittle Black

    Mary Elizabeth Griffith Doolittle Black, 74, died on July 20, 2011 in Santa Fe.

    She was born in Williamantic, Conn., on April 4, 1937, and grew up in Nathan Hale's birthplace in Coventry, Conn.

    She married Kenneth Arnold Doolittle in February 1955 and they had seven children, Deborah Doolittle of Jacksonville, N.C., Dara Doolittle of Santa Fe, Douglas Doolittle of Ashford, Conn., Daniel Doolittle of Bass Harbor, Maine, David Doolittle of Sibley, Iowa and Deirdre Doolittle (deceased).

  • Loyda L. Manzanares

    Loyda L. Manzanares, 74, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on July 16, 2011. She was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Lucero, N.M.

    She is preceded in death by her parents: Braulio Leal and Dolores Medina-Leal; brothers: Santiago Leal, Abenicio Leal, Jose Leal, and Alex Lopez; sisters: Cecilia Medina, Delfinia Valdez, and Amalia Mares; father-in-law: Alberto Manzanares; mother-in-law: Ignacita Salazar-Manzanares and sister-in-law: Amelia M. Leal.
