  • Lula Espinoza Ludi

    Lula Espinoza Ludi, 89, of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, after a short illness. She was born in Ortiz, Colo.in 1918 to the late Celestino and Rosalia Espinoza.

    She was married to the late Eloy E. Ludi for 60 years. She was preceded in death by brothers, Celestino Espinoza Jr. and Reginaldo Espinoza, as well as sisters, Ruth Fuentes, Lorraine Nelson and Elsie Myers.

  • Mary Gloria Martinez

    Mary Gloria Martinez, also known as "G.G.", went home with our Lord on Sunday Nov. 4, 2007 at the age of 50. She passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, N.M. .

    Born on December 13, 1956 in Springer, N.M. to Dionicio and Priscilla Martinez, she was a resident of Las Vegas, N.M. and former resident of Wagon Mound, N.M. . She is preceded in death by her father, Dionicio Martinez; maternal grandparents, Celina and Juan Chavez and paternal grandparents Gonzalo and Aurelia Martinez; mother-in-law Josefina R. Martinez, nephew Mario Martinez and other relatives.

  • Dr. John M. Black

    Dr. John M. Black, Jr, age 74, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M. for the past 10 years and former resident of Jamestown, North Dakota passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at the Alta Vista Hospital following an extended illness.

    He was born on February 26, 1933 in Seattle, Wash. to the late John M. Black, Sr. and Una Elizabeth Shannon Black.

    He was united in marriage on June 27, 1979 in Ft. Collins, Colo. to Mary Elizabeth Griffith Jr.

  • Joe I. Martinez

    Joe I. Martinez, 83, a lifelong resident and rancher of Watrous, N.M. , passed away in Santa Fe on Monday following a sudden illness. He had been living in Santa Fe at the home of his daughter, Elizabeth Gentry. He was preceded in death by his wife Estella; his parents, Marcelino and Marianita Conway Martinez; a son, Dennis Martinez; a brother, James Martinez; and three sisters, Guadalupita Paiz, Charlotte Lucero, and Mary Baker.

    Mary E. (Segura) Flynt of Albuquerque. It is with deep sorrow that our mom passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 5, 2007.

    Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, 11 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Albuquerque, N.M. . Friends and relatives may visit with the family Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the mortuary prior to services. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, N.M. .

    Diane K. Campa age 45 of Clovis, N.M., died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

  • Mary Gloria Martinez

    Mary Gloria Martinez, also known as “G.G.,” went home with our Lord on Sunday Nov. 4, 2007, at the age of 50. She passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe.

    Born on Dec. 13, 1956, in Springer, N.M., she was a resident of Las Vegas, N.M.

    She is preceded in death by her father, Dionicio Martinez; maternal and paternal grandparents; mother-in-law Josefina R. Martinez and other relatives.

  • Luisa Leonor Lena H. McElroy

    Luisa Leonor “Lena” H. McElroy, born March 28, 1916, was a life-long resident of Las Vegas, NM.

    Lena was the youngest of nine children and the last remaining member of her family. She passed away peacefully on Nov. 2, 2007, in Albuquerque, N.M., at the Sunrise Retirement Home.

    She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Thomas, on April 29, 2007.

    John M. Black, Jr, age 74, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., for the past 10 years and former resident of Jamestown, N.D., passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at the Alta Vista Hospital following an extended illness.

  • Torie Ann Vigil

    Torie Ann Vigil, age 17, a life-time resident of Mora County, N.M., passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

    She was born on June 17, 1990, in Las Vegas, N.M. to Herman Vigil and Loretta Gandert Vigil.

    She was a 12th grade student at the Mora High School. She enjoyed playing softball and spending time with family and friends.

    She was a loving daughter, grand-daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend.

    A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of the St. Gertrudes Church in Mora, N.M.
