    Eduardo Trujillo, age 81, a lifelong resident of Chacon, N.M., passed away at his home early this morning.

    Services are pending and will be announced by his family at a later time.

  • Alexander Sanchez

    Alexander Sanchez, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away Dec. 2, 2007, due to sudden medical complications.

    He was born to the late Alejandra Vargas and Rudolfo A. Sanchez on April 27, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif.

    He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolfo A. Sanchez and Alejandra Vargas, paternal grandparents Manual and Estanislada Sanchez, maternal grandparents Ricardo and Francisca Vargas and loving niece Leilani Lena Garcia.

  • Atanacio F. Armijo

    Atanacio F. Armijo, age 76, a lifetime resident of Wagon Mound, N.M. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at his home.

    He was born in Wagon Mound, N.M. on Feb. 17, 1931, to the late Miguel Armijo and Sofia Chavez Armijo.

    A lifetime rancher, he raised cattle and loved fishing.

    A lifetime Catholic, he was a member of the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, N.M.

    He was preceded in death by his parents: Miguel and Sofia Armijo; son: Phil Armijo; step-son: Dennis Chavez; sister: Isabel Armijo; brothers: Rafel Armijo and Cecilio Armijo.

    Alexander Sanchez, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at his home.

  • Evangelina D. Johnson

    The Mass of Christian Burial for Evangelina D. Johnson, 80, a resident of Las Vegas, who passed away on Wednesday, was celebrated this morning from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Father C. John Brasher celebrated the Mass.

    The interment followed in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Guadalupita, N.M., with the following relatives serving as casket bearers: Anthony Herrera, David Herrera, Lawrence Lucero, Adam Lucero, Gerald Cardenas, and Joe Ortiz. Honorary bearers will be Anthony Johnson and Steven Duran.

  • Bessie H. Martinez

    Bessie H. Martinez, 93, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Wednesday Nov.28, 2007, at Meadows II after a brief illness.

    She was born in San Ignacio, N.M. on March 27, 1914, to the late Ignacio Herrera and Ignacita Madrid Herrera.

    She was united in marriage to the late Alfredo Martinez in 1931 in Frederick, Colo.

    She retired in 1970 from the New Mexico State Hospital where she was employed as a Nurse Tech for 19 years. She was a former employee with the Greyhound Bus Depot and a former housekeeper for Frank and Julia Maloof family.

  • Rosalie F. Romero

    The mass of resurrection for Rosalie F. Romero, of Chacon, N.M., was celebrated this morning at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude’s Church in Mora, N.M., with Father James Sanchez and Father John McHugh as celebrants.

    Interment followed at the San Antonio Cemetery at Chacon, N.M., with the following serving as casket bearers: Dino Gallegos, Martin Romero, Dennis Montoya, Oliver Vigil, Gene Romero and Matthew Martinez. Serving as honorary bearers were: Manuel Romero Jr., Matthew Romero, Mario Romero, Marcus Romero, Julio Romero and Emilio Romero.

  • Rosalie F. Romero

    Rosalie F. Romero, age 73, a lifetime resident of Chacon, N.M. passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at the Alta Vista Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

    She was born in Chacon, N.M., on May 24, 1934, to the late Juan Gallegos and Bernardita Romero Gallegos.

    She was united in marriage in Mora, N.M., on Nov. 4, 1949 to Alfonso Romero.

    She retired from the N.M. State University Branch in Mora where she was employed as Nutrition Aid for 20 years. She formerly worked for 5 years as a bus driver for the Mora/San Miguel Senior Citizens.

  • Evangelina Lucero Johnson

    Evangelina Lucero Johnson, 80, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Alta Vista Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stoney Johnson; daughters: Caroline Herrera, Florida Lucero, and Dorothy Ann Lucero; and a son, Estevan Duran and her parents, Fernando and Refugio Maes Duran.

    Liberato 'Lee' Melquiades Roybal, a lifelong resident of Variadero, N.M., was called to Our Lord on Nov. 27, 2007. He was born on Oct. 29, 1936, to the late Reducindo Roybal and Tomasita Tenorio Roybal in Terrero, N.M.
