Going toe to toe with the champs

Continuing a brutal early schedule, the Robertson boys’ soccer team (0-3) ran into the buzz saw of defending Class 5A state champion Capital on Tuesday evening, falling 9-0.

Junior Victor Lozoya scored four goals and added two assists for the Jaguars, who are off to a 4-0 start. Three of Lozoya’s scores came in the first half.

Senior Alexis Romo also recorded a hat trick for Capital, and he and Lozoya combined for the first six goals. Romo had one assist.

Rene Ortiz and Eric Oquedo tallied one goal apiece to round out the scoring.
