Nobody’s perfect - Robertson’s unbeaten run ends in title game

PORTALES — On the verge of an epic achievement made possible by countless hours of work, the Robertson Cardinals found that 24 minutes can make all the difference.

The RHS football team’s second-half struggles were enough to send the previously undefeated Cardinals down to defeat at Portales on Saturday in the Class 4A state championship football game.

The Rams (12-1) won 43-14 on their home field, the new Greyhound Stadium they share with Eastern New Mexico.
