Two Redbirds win at Joe Vivian Classic

Two Robertson wrestlers earned coveted championships over the weekend in the annual Joe Vivian Classic held at Albuquerque’s Cibola High School.

Jonathan Trujillo (138 lbs.) triumphed at the Joe for a second year in a row. This time, he had company in the finals from RHS teammate Tristan Trujillo (160), no relation.

It was a strong overall showing for the Cardinals and head coach James Mark Martinez, who finished 10th (104 points) out of nearly three dozen teams.
