First major storm

After one of the most delayed starts to winter in recent memory, the season came crashing through Las Vegas’ door Monday evening and into Tuesday morning.

Freezing rain, rapidly dropping temperatures and snow Monday evening led to several wrecks along area highways, which included at least two fatalities, as well as a delay Tuesday morning for most area schools and government offices.
