HU students to pay more

Students attending a college or university in New Mexico on a lottery scholarship will have to fork out more of their own money this spring for tuition because the fund that pays for the scholarship is running short.

The state Higher Education Department sent out a letter to colleges and universities earlier this month notifying them that the scholarship would pick up only 95 percent of the average tuition cost for the spring semester.
