School chief search progresses

The process of selecting the next superintendent at Las Vegas City Schools has been set. During a board meeting late last week the board agreed to qualifications for next superintendent as well as the time line for the process.

The board hired New Mexico School Boards Association Superintendent Search Service Chief Consultant Dan Patterson to guide them in the superintendent selection process. The person selected will replace outgoing superintendent Ruben Cordova who announced his resignation late last month. His resignation becomes effective at the end of April.
