Cowgirls fourth in RMAC indoor championships

New Mexico Highlands' Tashay Hunter cleared 6 meters to capture a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title in the long jump.

Teammate Annie Topal led a Highlands sweep of the top three in the triple jump.

Those performances buoyed the Cowgirls to fourth place in this past weekend's RMAC indoor track and field championships held in Golden, Colo.

Colorado-Colorado Springs nipped Western State in a 118-117 photo finish to win the women's team title. Adams State (102) just edged Highlands (99) for third in the 13-school meet.
