  • Monday, June 27, 1966 — Robin Carlson won a trophy at the recent Bowling Proprietors Association of America state tournament, which qualified her for a trip to Washington, D.C., July 28 through Aug. 2. In Washington, she will compete in a field of girls from 36 states for a college scholarship, which will go to seven girls. Robin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Carlson, is a senior at Robertson High School, where she competes in track and volleyball.

  • Monday, June 27, 1966 — Summer sessions enrollment at Highlands University during the first two weeks this year already has exceeded the total 10-week enrollment figure of last year’s summer period, according to figures released by the registrar’s office. James Elliott, registrar, said that thus far this summer, 1138 students have registered for courses at HU compared with a total of 1095 during the entire summer sessions last year.
