  • Homecoming Week at Mora High School was a lot of fun and also work for the student government committee and their sponsor, Marco Sanchez. It was a week of extra fun with special days as bad hair day, pep rally, talent show and last the Homecoming Parade and game.

    At the game the queen and king were crowned and the royal court took over the basketball floor to process around the gym. The queen was Destiny Pacheco and king was Quintin Dobbs. The other candidates for the king and queen also marched in the processional.

  • In the “Are there additions or corrections to the columns” section of the Optic where my “Palabras Pinturescas” column pops up, I need to follow up on some of my recent stories.

    I mentioned the book “He Heard His Brother Call His Name” by Patsy Dorris Hale. I was told it was only available on Amazon, and that was before I visited my favorite bookstore, Tome on the Range. They have copies on order as we speak.
