The older women have sponsored and directed the girls. They are, Mrs. Laura Reynolds, Greta Maloney, Miss Laura Reynolds, Gwen Timm, Sara Moore, Theresa Rubio, Vivanda Guerin, Mrs. Oliver Slade and Dorothy Garcia. Sister Ann Raymond is the hospital administrator.

    The Oath of Allegiance will be taken by 15 applicants during Pecos National Historical Park’s first Naturalization Ceremony, to be held at 1 p.m. on Monday. The new citizens will be entitled to the same rights, obligations, and opportunities as all other Americans, including the ability to vote, hold public office, carry a U.S. passport, serve on a jury, work for the federal government, and serve as an officer in the armed services.

  • Thursday, July 14, 1966 — Dr. C. Wallace Bell, El Porvenir Morgan Ranch, won 20 ribbons plus a grand championship with his three horse entries in the Circle National Morgan Show in Estes, Colo. Bell, a retired opthalmologist, placed with his horses in every class they entered. “It’s unusual,” said Bell, “for one stable to win that many. We did better than we expected.”
