  • My friends know how much I like to read, and they are generous — they hand me current, obviously new to me books to read. One of my favorite new ones is “The Map of Heaven” by Eben Alexander, M.D. Its subtitle is “How Science, Religion and Ordinary people are proving the Afterlife.”

I will admit I let it sit on my coffee table for a while. I no longer am the best at reading scientific writings. However, the contents page alone caught my attention.
