  • This is the weekend of Christmas preparation in Mora.

On Friday night, at 6 p.m.. there will be a session with Noche de Las Familias at Tapetes de Lana when families gather for a time together.

Saturday starting at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m, the annual Winter Fest will take place in the elementary Gym at the Mora Independent School district. There will be many local venders with the results of their skills and hard work to sell to those who are looking for something to share in Christmas gifts and for their own use.

  • Time flies when one has fun. Suddenly I look at the calendar, (it is almost December as I write this) and look outside (there are 14 inches of new snow on the ground) and I realize it is about time to search out Christmas cards.

I might be able to dig out a Christmas card from very long ago if I work at sorting the boxes of photographs I’ve already written about. Our parents fell for someone’s line about how wonderful photograph Christmas cards were when Sweet Brother Bill and I were just “wee tots,” as my grandparents would say.
