  • Sometimes life’s pleasures come along in small doses. Very recently I had the pleasure of having both Bartley grandchildren here with their parents for several days of revisiting the ranch together. They are now in their mid-20s, and are interested in so many facets of this old place.

Son John decided it was time for a slide show one night. My collection of slides that date back almost 50 years here paint quite a picture of life on the ranch, which included pictures of them when they were small. There are many pictures of horses and cows, of course.

  • Roy “Puffy” Gonzales dedicated his life to teaching music to students of West Las Vegas. He taught in the Valley area for more than 30 years. He touched many of his students’ lives in such a positive way.
