  • The teachers have been in orientation since Monday in preparation for the new school year. All of the students began their school year on Wednesday.

    There are some new teachers and a new principal in the elementary school.

    The rest of the staff is the same as last year, although some have different assignments.

    • Immaculate Conception Parish is beginning registration for religious education classes for the 2011-12 school year. Registration will take place at the school from noon to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday until Aug. 12. Classes begin on Aug. 22. Sessions run for 1-1/2 hours once a week. Sessions are on Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost, to help defray cost of books, is $35 for the year.
