    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Whenever Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday, a Harrison County, West Virginia, judge presides over happy couples instead of defendants and plaintiffs.

    Circuit Court Judge Thomas A. Bedell holds a group wedding ceremony on Feb. 14 for couples who want to participate. This year’s noon ceremony will mark the 12th time he has held the event.

    “Part of the fun is just to see who shows up at 12 o’clock on Feb. 14,” Bedell told The Exponent Telegram.

    Rough Rider Blues Sweetheart Dance and Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Museum will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Plaza Hotel Ballroom.

    Come listen and dance to the blues tunes of the Low Down Daddies. This event is the Friends of the Las Vegas City Museum and Rough Rider Memorial Collection Third Annual Sweetheart Dance and Annual Meeting. It is a special tribute of appreciation to the Las Vegas greater community for the many years of encouragement and support.
