A young woman who was born and grew up in Mora is now serving in the Peace Corps in Mozambique, Africa.
Andrea Martinez, 24, has been assigned to the Catholic mission in Dombe. She is working as a librarian and teacher.
Martinez will be serving there for two years. She had brushed up on her French, thinking that she would be assigned to a French-speaking country.
But when she was assigned to Mozambique, where the native language is Portuguese, she had to switch gears.
