    SENIOR LUNCH MENU

  • What a way to start the day! Every pond is full of water, grasses and wildflowers are bursting from the ground, and the mountain streams are flowing bank to bank. Almost four inches of rain in May is incredible in so many ways. And our Gascon point gets frequent snow showers. That tells me it is still cold and colder the higher one goes. I continue to remind the newcomers to this area that this is the way may used to be. We still don’t know whether our apple trees will have fruit because nights are still pushing the freezing mark up here.

This past August, a “video treasure hunt” around Las Vegas drew plenty of participants for 20 prize tokens for thousands of dollars worth of books, artwork, meal and gift certificates from local businesses, to benefit the Dana Konno Nursing Scholarship Fund at Luna Technical Institute.

This Sunday, another Treasure Hunt will be held for the benefit of Nepal relief, in light of the recent disastrous earthquakes there.
